Submission Criteria for F/SEA Quarterly

F/SEA Quarterly welcomes high-quality manuscripts that explore faculty-student engagement and assessment in higher education. Submissions should align with the journal's mission to promote innovative practices, evidence-based research, and actionable insights that enhance teaching and learning. Below are the submission criteria for article consideration:

General Requirements

  1. Relevance: Submissions must address topics related to faculty-student engagement, assessment, or related areas in higher education.

  2. Originality: Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

  3. Quality: Submissions should be well-researched, thoroughly cited, and written in clear, professional language.

 

Formatting Guidelines

  • Length: Articles should range from 750 to 1500 words, excluding references, tables, and figures.

  • Style: Manuscripts must follow APA 7th Edition formatting guidelines.

  • Document Format: Submit as a Word document (.doc or .docx) with double-spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and 1-inch margins.

 

Content Requirements

  1. Abstract: Include a 150–250-word abstract summarizing the purpose, methodology, key findings, and significance of the article.

  2. Keywords: Provide 4–6 relevant keywords to aid indexing and discoverability.

  3. Main Text: Organize the article into clear sections, including an introduction, literature review, methodology (if applicable), findings, discussion, and conclusion.

  4. References: Include a complete reference list formatted in APA 7th Edition.

 

Figures and Tables

  • Submit all tables and figures within the manuscript, numbered consecutively with clear captions, as appropriate.

  • Ensure images or graphics are high-resolution (minimum 300 DPI).

 

Review Process

  • All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review to ensure impartial evaluation.

  • Authors will be notified of acceptance, rejection, or required revisions within 4–6 weeks.
